• What is cellular respiration?
  • Is a process where breaking of sugars occurs which forms cells to performed energy.  It takes place in food and uses it to create ATP.

• How is cellular respiration related to what you measured in the cricket lab?
  • Cellular respiration is related what we measured in the cricket lab by observing the crickets at different temperature treatments in cold, room, and warm temperatures. We measured their respiration rate.  The crickets couldn’t perform energy for themselves when they were in cold temperature which lower their respiration rate. On the other hand, When the crickets were in room and warm temperature they had an higher respiration rate. They are related to cellular respiration in his lab because cellular respiration creates energy and it impacts the crickets respiration rate during this lab.

• • In my observations, I discovered one eagle in his nest. The eagle stood there moving his head and also moving his body inside the nest.  I couldn’t see the chicks and was probably under the eagle’s body. Throughout those fifteen minutes the eagle was moving aground and looking around his nest.

• In what ways do you see yourself as a writer? Are you a poet? A journalist? A blogger?  What style of writing is most familiar and comfortable for you?

I see myself as a writer in many ways in school on different types of papers through out my life time.  I see myself more of a writer and journalist because am comfortable with the setup of writing paragraphs on my papers. I enjoyed  writing about my experiences which comforts me when am writing a paper as a journalist.

• What is your impression of scientific writing?

My impression on scientific writing is that when experiments are being done its good to write the research and results all on one paper. I think it makes people be able to understand an scientific research paper based on the results of the experiment. Scientific writing is used in many experiments  on the results and it is the only proper way to write for scientists.

• How do Wilson’s ideas fit with your experience or ideas about scientific writing?

Wilson’s ideas fit with my experience and ideas of scientific writing because he mentions its all about the observations and results of experiments on scientific writing.  I have experience on making my own observations on things before during experiments which lead me to write an research paper in scientific writing.

• What if anything surprised you about Wilson’s description of scientists, and their emotions and values as they fit into the process of science?

The thing that surprised me about Wilson’s description of scientists, and their emotions and values as they fit into the process of science is how they acted and performed in their work based on their behaviors. I think is valuable because it can affect their performance on experiments and research.

• In my observations, I witness an eagle laying down under two eggs. Around 5:31, Another eagle came in it might have been the male or female not sure. Both laying in the nest and looking around with some movement.

• In my observations of watching the eagle for 15 minutes. I discovered some head movement from the eagle and I think it was sleeping. In the nest, I saw two eggs under the eagle and it looks look the eagle was comforting the eggs. Basically, the whole time their were some movement but not a lot. Only saw only eagle the whole time during my observations.

1. Looking at the CLASS DATA, what conclusions can you draw about the nutritional value of the meals/snack this group of students is consuming?  Looking at the Class Data, the nutritional value of the meals and snacks our group of students were consuming less on calories and carbohydrates.  For myself, I burn a lot of calories everyday because of hockey and it is important to gain the weight back. I focus on eating a lot of carbohydrates including pasta and potatoes to obtain energy for my body. Everybody have different bodies and I think eating healthy will help yourself in school or in sports.   
2. Assuming the majority of the food consumed is from the Commons dining hall and/or other venues on campus, what suggestions do you have for the food service managers.  The suggestions I have for the food service managers is to offer more healthy and organic food  choices. Definitely will be beneficial for us to have the opportunity eat less fried food and eat more grilled food. Healthy food choices will definitely help our bodies. 
3. What spices do you wish were available in the dining hall?  Are there nutrients in spices?  Spices I wish were available in the dining hall are organic spices including herbs and maybe fresh basil in salads could help make it much healthier and organic. Yes, there are nutrients in spices and nutrients make spices healthier.
